How long has Philippe been chewing on that bone? (Sounds like a long time)

When I wrote this story, I wanted to entertain how something bad can result from a true lack of communication. Neither side here did that, waiting for the other to say something. The true tragedy here is that this all could have been prevented before it got to this point.
