Hmmm... there might be something more to Garrett than wanton destruction and killing after all.
Like many of my characters he is much more complex than people originally think. He was seventeen when his mother was brutally murdered by his father...(being that he is a dhampir...youc can guess what his father was).
The incident occurred shortly after he and his mom had fought about her witholding information from him about his true heritage. They never got the chance to reconcile that.
Like many of his choices - he doesn't react as most people would. He didn't return to his Coven after his mom died... he chose to join Victor Sierra. At the time the organization was believed to be "human only" - so it was a huge gamble for him to join and then try to hide what he was.
