So picking up where we left off. Seems Cabal told Miranda quite a bit about Vampire habits hmmm? Well this can extend to her own experience about not being held by the thrall of her Dam.
See Miranda was converted by Tawny, who was summarily killed when Cabal found out. Tawny's brood had been slaughtered by Cabal and Renate, with a bit of assist from Victor Sierra. So between those events, Miranda's bond with that brood was never solidified. She never felt the thrall of joining up with the brood that spawned her life as a vampire.
So THAT's how she knows that the Seconds won't stick around out of any loyalty to Meirakat's memory.
