There is quite a bit of additional dialogue on this page that doesn't exist in the book...but I rather like the way it helps establish the intimacy between Miranda and Cabal by this point.
They share a lot of mutual history together and the events they are talking about go all the way back to when they first met.
The first one was when Miranda shot him when he tried to feed from her the day they met.
The second event was the time Miranda was kidnapped by Victor Sierra because of her "gift" of seeing the future (especially because it wasn't just her own future she could tap into.). John Arturo (Miranda's dad) hired Cabal to get her back. Needless to say, Cabal did not come away from the mission without a few scars to remember it by.
And now you know...:P
